Facing the Challenge of Limited Authorized Health Workers to Do Covid-19 Vaccinations
The vaccines are here. Vaccination sites have opened. People have been registering online to get their vaccination schedule. However, actual rollout has been slow due, in part, to the limited number of health workers authorized to adminsiter the Covid-19 vaccines to people.
This is the issue that wil be discussed in the webinar May Bakuna, Pero Walang Magbabakuna: What Can LGUs Do?Organized by PCPD and the Zuellig Family Foundaton, the webinar will feature Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia, Cagayan de Oro Mayor Oscar Moreno, and Caloocan Vaccination Task Force Action Officer Dr. Rachel Basa. They will talk about their LGUs' experiences in the vaccination rollout and give recommendations on how to address the limited authorized human resources to do Covid-19 vaccination. This gap is one of the critical challenges that has to be addressed if the country is to meet the 500,000 vaccinations a day needed to reach herd immunity in 2021.
The webinar is scheduled on June 18, 2021, Friday, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
