Responsible-Maternal and Child Health (RP-MCH) Program for the Industrial Sector (Cycle 4)

The project institutionalized the delivery of RP-MCH services in industrial and agro-industrial companies. The program relied heavily on volunteer-motivators selected from among the companies' workers. This core group of workers known as "Kaugnays" were trained as motivators and project implementors. Their training covered the general concepts on RP-MCH, communication and motivational skills, team building and planning. The company nurse was trained in comprehensive family planning to ensure quality and efficient service delivery. The liaison officer from the HRD group was trained in project management. The participating companies are located in the following areas: National Capital Region, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, Rizal, Davao, Iligan, Cagayan De Oro and General Santos.
