Poverty Reduction through Empowerment & Service Delivery in Palawan
Code: 14-145
Date: 06/03/2014 - 06/02/2015
Duration: 11 months, 29 days
This project allows Ugat to continue to provide clinical services, including pap smears, contraception, pre and post natal exams, and assistance with birthing, in six underserved communities in Puerto Princesa.
It aims to continue training, strengthening and supporting its 30 existing Community Health Advocates, so that they may better support the women in their communities and serve as more effective links between the communities and the organization.
It also aims to empower teenagers in two communities to develop greater self-esteem and self worth, to stay in school, delay sex, and then practice safer sex, to take control of their lives, and realize their full potential.
