Fast-Tracking Demand Generation for and Delivery of Reproductive Health Services among Urban Poor Women in Bagong Silang and Camarin in Caloocan City, Metro Manila

The project prepares the community and fast-tracks demand generation for the delivery of reproductive health-related services, especially FP, among community and grassroots women in Bagong Silang and Camarin, in Caloocan city. It seeks lower unmet need for family planning and improve the contraceptive prevalence rate in Caloocan city and, at the macro level, the implementation of the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Law

The project has the following strategies:

(1) RH and FP education, including salient provisions of the RPRH Law and contraception;

(2)  Organization of Community Bantay RH composed of community women who will act as support group in accessing RH services, especially FP;

(3)  Establishment of collaboration between CBRH members and local health services providers; and

(4)  Provision of RH-related services, especially modern FP methods.
