A book documenting the evolution of the country’s population policies – From Population Control to Reproductive Health

Code:    14-144
Date:    05/15/2014 - 02/15/2015
Duration: 9 months, 2 days

A well-researched and engaging book will be produced that will focus on how the country’s population policy evolved through the years and how development concerns and the concepts of rights, such as reproductive health and rights, became a part of it. It will look at the politics of policymaking in the Philippines and will take into account global events that affected, adversely or positively, the implementation of the population policy and the drafting of the RH bill. By documenting the country’s experience in pushing for this particular policy reform, the book will provide important implications not only for intelligent policymaking but also for strategic advocacy and policy research.
