News - Mulat Pinoy / KNN Holds eKapihan on Teenage Pregnancy

The Philippines holds the dubious distinction of having the highest number of teenage pregnancies among six of the major economies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. It is also the only country where the rate of teenage pregnancy is increasing.

This situation of kids having kids is such an urgent concern that Mulat Pinoy / Kabataan News Network made this the topic of its most recent videocast.

According to the 2013 Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality Study, there are 1.14 million females aged 15-19 who are already mothers, or 11 percent of the 10.2 million Filipino youth aged 15-19.
